Worker, 38, dead after collision with truck at Calgary area jobsite

AIRDRIE, Alta.—RCMP say a construction worker has been killed in a job site accident just north of Calgary.

Mounties and emergency medical crews were called to a residential area on the south side of Airdrie shortly before 2:30 p.m. Oct. 2

Police say a 38-year-old Calgary man was found dead at the scene.

They say he was bent over working on a storm drain when he was hit by a work truck.

The man’s name has not been released.

Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is working with the RCMP on the investigation.
